![]() ![]() I had already been running Xubuntu since 2016 on a MythTV server in my house, so in 2018 I switched all the other 6 machines over to Linux and never looked back. I swore right then that before the official end of life hit for Win7 that I would be converting all my machines to Linux. The server instantly ran Source Safe perfectly again. Half a week later and 3 Microsoft upper level techs still unable to make Microsoft Source Safe work again after the unauthorized weekend Win10 "upgrade" and I rolled back a Win7 image. That server ran Microsoft Source Safe, which no longer functioned after the Win10 infection. In the middle of 2015 I found that one of the servers at my office had been switched to Windows 10 over the weekend without my explicit authorization. Microsoft repeatedly tried to sneak Windows 10 onto the 16 or so computers that I maintained, and Microsoft got more and more aggressive in their campaign to cram Windows 10 down my throat. At my home I also had 7 computers all running Windows 7. In 2015 I was working in IT and as a programmer at an office where I maintained about 9 computers all running Windows 7. ![]()

Now, after three years, the government has approved the gun blueprints ( Ghost Gunner files and CAD files) for public release. ![]() Together with the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), Defense Distributed fought back by suing the State Department for trampling on the right to free speech. The State Department argued that blueprints of Wilson's 'Liberator' pistol, which had already been downloaded more than 100,000 times, were classified as 'exports' and could therefore not be distributed according to law. The victory spells the end of an ongoing lawsuit against the US Department of State - which in 2013, forced Defense Distributed founder Cody Wilson to pull down files from the DEFCAD website because they violated International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) protections. 3D gun printing advocate Defense Distributed has emerged triumphant in a legal battle to freely publish online blueprints that could allow users to manufacture firearms. ![]() ![]() ![]()
